Brian Flynn is a Catholic singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Originally from Stockbridge, Massachusetts, Brian’s compositions cover a wide variety of styles including traditional, meditative, and praise and worship. Within the songs you’ll sometimes hear great jazz elements and often an Irish touch. With his heart for the Lord and unique blend of musical genres, Brian has forged a sound that has garnered fans of all ages.
Brian received a degree in Theology from Franciscan University of Steubenville in 1998, and uses that background to weave the teachings of the Catholic Church into his songs. This ability has earned him acclaim from Theologians and musicians alike and helps to fulfill his mission of writing songs that teach the truths of the Catholic faith.
In August, 2010 Brian’s third solo album, Beyond the Veil, won three UCMVA Unity Awards including “Liturgical/Sacramental Song of the Year” for his Eucharistic song, Panis Vere, “Devotional Song of the Year” for his song released in the Year for Priests, You are a Priest Forever, and “Praise and Worship Album of the Year”. Since then he has continued to travel throughout the country leading music for many different events including retreats and conferences for both adults and teens.
Brian has appeared on international television several times and has been featured in numerous radio and print interviews. He can also be seen leading the Chaplet of Divine Mercy with his father and sisters every weekday at 3:00pm on EWTN. In addition to traveling, Brian is also the Music Director at St. Mary Church in Westphalia , MI, where he resides with his wife, Kristin, and their six children.
